2 Days Basic Quantitative Seismic Interpretation Batch #4 Workshop and Leadership Training Seminar: Dare to be Future Leaders
On August, 19th and 20th 2017, several Indogeo’s associates, organized an event on “2 Days Basic Quantitative Seismic Interpretation Batch #4 Workshop and Leadership Training Seminar: Dare to be Future Leaders” to commemoration Indonesia’s 72nd Independence Day. This workshop was sponsored by Ikon Science (Diamond Sponsor), PT. Pertamina EP, and PT. Pertamina EP Cepu (Sapphire Sponsors). The technical workshop was held on the first day, 19th August 2017 at Universitas Indonesia. This event was the fourth of its kind, but the materials presented on each workshop are quite different. This fourth workshop mainly covers the use of 2D synthetic seismic to simulate subsurface models and their characteristics under different conditions, such as minerals, hydrocarbon fluids, subsurface architectures, and many others. Five (5) Indogeo’s associates were presenting theories and practices of well-seismic tie, 2D synthetic seismic models for different subsurface geometries (e.g. wedge, anticline, and even how to create a 2D basin model) and seismic inversion. The associates were Brandan Tito Ramadhan, Elga Abdurahman Eka Putra, Firsta Arianty Kamandika, Gian Antariksa, Radhi Muammar, and Yohanes Dimas Priambodho. Most participants were happy about this workshop, since it balances the proportion of theoretical explanations and real practices using the best known software for conducting quantitative seismic interpretation, RokDoc. Several participants asked the speakers to hold the fifth batch of Basic Quantitative Seismic Interpretation Workshop the next year, since this event met their expectation. On the second day, we held a Leadership Training Seminar which is located in Multipurpose Hall of PT. Pertamina EP. The theme of this event was “Dare to be Future Leaders” since we are targeting that the participants as the golden generations of Indonesia that will help the development of this country. The speakers consists of several leaders in petroleum company and service; Mr. Oskar Pakpahan - Senior Geophysicist of Carigali-PTTEPI Operating Company (CPOC) Malaysia, Mr. Adriansyah - President Director of PT. Pertamina EP Cepu, Mr. Rusdinadar Sigit - Director of Geo-Connection as well as the leader of Indonesian Brain Gain Association, and Mr. Ilen Kardani - Business Development Account Manager of Halliburton.

Last sharing session on August 19th 2017 by Theo Van Leeuwen was an epic gold!
A total of 23 participants from fresh graduate until professionals from mining to oil and gas sectors were excited to attend the sharing session. Thank you in advance Mr Theo, such a great experience for us to hear the sharing from someone who has written over 30 papers on mineral deposits and exploration in Indonesia. See you on next Indogeo’s events, don't miss it! Sharing Session by Theo Van Leeuwen
